Ingredients
  • 14 ounce Firm Tofu
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 3 clove Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 2 tablespoon Chili Bean Paste
  • 2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 cup Vegetable Stock
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 2 stalk Green Onion
  • 1 teaspoon Sichuan Peppercorns
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
  1. Cut the firm tofu into cubes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or pan.
  3. Add minced garlic and ginger, and stir-fry until fragrant.
  4. Add chili bean paste and stir-fry for a minute.
  5. Add the tofu cubes and stir gently to coat them with the sauce.
  6. Pour in soy sauce and vegetable stock, and bring to a simmer.
  7. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to make a slurry.
  8. Add the slurry to the pan and stir until the sauce thickens.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions and Sichuan peppercorns.
  10. Serve hot with steamed rice.
