Ingredients
  • 1 cup Lentils
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 medium Bell pepper
  • 1 cup Tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 4 unit Hamburger buns
Instructions
  1. Cook the lentils according to package instructions.
  2. In a large skillet, sauté the onion, garlic, and bell pepper until softened.
  3. Add the cooked lentils to the skillet and stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, until the mixture thickens.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns and serve the lentil mixture on top.
