Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Popcorn kernels
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Vegan butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Baking soda
Instructions
  1. Heat the vegan butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the popcorn kernels and cover the saucepan with a lid.
  3. Shake the saucepan occasionally to prevent burning.
  4. Once the popping slows down, remove the saucepan from heat and set aside.
  5. In a separate saucepan, combine the sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
  6. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar has melted and turned golden brown.
  7. Remove the caramel from heat and quickly stir in the baking soda.
  8. Pour the caramel over the popcorn and toss until evenly coated.
  9. Allow the caramel popcorn to cool and harden.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
