Ingredients
  • 500 gram Leeks
  • 4 teaspoon Olive oil
  • 1 small Onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon Tomato paste
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh dill
Instructions
  1. Trim the roots and dark green parts of the leeks. Cut into 2-inch pieces.
  2. Rinse the leeks thoroughly to remove any dirt or sand.
  3. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic cloves. Sauté until golden brown.
  4. Add tomato paste and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add leeks, water, lemon juice, salt, and sugar to the pot. Stir well.
  6. Cover and cook over low heat for 20-25 minutes, or until the leeks are tender.
  7. Remove from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  8. Serve the Turkish Leeks in Olive Oil garnished with fresh dill.
