Ingredients
  • 1 cup Basmati Rice
  • 2 large Tomatoes
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 1 piece Green Chili
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh Coriander Leaves
Instructions
  1. Wash and soak the basmati rice for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions, garlic, ginger, and green chili until golden brown.
  3. Add the tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.
  4. Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pan. Stir gently to coat the rice with the tomato mixture.
  6. Add water and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover the pan, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked.
  7. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
