Ingredients
  • 2 cup Tomatoes
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 2 tablespoon Gram flour (Besan)
  • 3 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 2 chopped Green chilies
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida (Hing)
  • 6 few Curry leaves
  • for garnishing chopped Coriander leaves
  • to taste Salt
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, whisk together yogurt, gram flour, and water until smooth.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Let them crackle.
  3. Add ginger, green chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté for a minute.
  4. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and asafoetida. Mix well.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
  6. Pour the yogurt mixture into the pan and stir continuously.
  7. Bring the kadhi to a boil and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Season with salt to taste.
  9. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  10. Serve hot with steamed rice or roti.
