General Tso's chicken is a popular Chinese-American dish, but this vegetarian version swaps out the chicken for tofu while keeping the bold flavors intact.

Ingredients
  • 16 ounce Tofu
  • 3 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 3 clove Garlic
  • 2 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili flakes
  • 3 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 3 tablespoon Water
  • 4 stalk Green onions
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds
Instructions
  1. Press the tofu to remove excess water and cut it into cubes.
  2. Toss the tofu cubes in cornstarch.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry the tofu until golden brown.
  4. Remove the tofu from the pan and set it aside.
  5. In the same pan, sauté garlic, ginger, and red chili flakes.
  6. Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and water to the pan.
  7. Stir until the sauce thickens.
  8. Add the fried tofu back to the pan and coat it with the sauce.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
  10. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
  11. Serve hot and enjoy!
