Ingredients
  • 2 cup Sticky rice
  • 1 cup Coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoon Nam Pla (fish sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
  1. Rinse the sticky rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Drain the rice and place it in a steamer basket lined with a clean cloth.
  4. Steam the rice over high heat for 20 minutes or until tender.
  5. In a saucepan, heat the coconut milk, Nam Pla, sugar, and salt until the sugar and salt dissolve.
  6. Remove the rice from the steamer and transfer it to a bowl.
  7. Pour the coconut milk mixture over the rice and stir gently to combine.
  8. Let the rice rest for 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  9. Serve the Thai sticky rice with Nam Pla and coconut milk warm.
