Ingredients
  • 2 cup Pinto beans
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic cloves
  • 1 pepper Jalapeno pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoon Cilantro
  • 4 wedge Lime wedges
Instructions
  1. Rinse the pinto beans and soak them overnight.
  2. In a large pot, add soaked beans, onion, garlic, jalapeno pepper, cumin powder, chili powder, salt, and water.
  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 2 hours or until the beans are tender.
  4. Remove from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with cilantro and lime wedges.
