Ingredients
  • 1 cup Basmati Rice
  • 2 cup Spinach
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
Instructions
  1. Wash the rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 30 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them sizzle.
  3. Add chopped onions and garlic. Saute until golden brown.
  4. Add turmeric powder and salt. Mix well.
  5. Add the soaked rice and stir-fry for a minute.
  6. Add water and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, blanch the spinach in boiling water for a minute. Drain and chop.
  8. Once the rice is cooked, add the chopped spinach and lemon juice. Mix well.
  9. Cover the pan and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
