Ingredients
  • 2 teaspoon Olive Oil
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 28 ounce Canned Crushed Tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
  • 8 leaves Fresh Basil Leaves
Instructions
  1. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, sugar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Bring the sauce to a simmer, reduce heat to low, and cover.
  5. Let the sauce simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in fresh basil leaves.
  7. Serve over cooked spaghetti noodles.
