Ingredients
  • 2 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon Lime juice
  • 16 ounces Firm tofu
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, combine chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together olive oil and lime juice.
  3. Press tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut into 1-inch thick slices.
  4. Brush tofu slices with the olive oil and lime juice mixture.
  5. Sprinkle both sides of the tofu slices with the Southwest rub mixture.
  6. Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  7. Grill tofu for 5-7 minutes per side, or until grill marks appear and tofu is heated through.
  8. Remove tofu from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve the Southwest rub tofu with your favorite side dishes or in tacos or salads.
