Ingredients
  • 500 gram Leeks
  • 2 teaspoon Olive oil
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 cup Vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
Instructions
  1. Trim the dark green tops and root ends of the leeks, then slice them into 1-inch pieces.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the leeks and garlic, and sauté for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour in the vegetable broth, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  6. Serve the simmered leeks hot as a side dish or as a base for other recipes.
