Carrots were originally purple, yellow, and white in color, not orange like the ones we commonly see today. Orange carrots were developed in the 17th century by Dutch growers as a tribute to the Dutch Royal Family, the House of Orange.
This is vegan and gluten free recipe. Dish can be prepared in 40 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 8.

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

Peel and trim the carrots, then cut them into even-sized sticks.

In a small bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper.

Place the carrot sticks on a baking sheet and drizzle with the sesame-ginger glaze, tossing to coat evenly.

Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the carrots are tender and caramelized.

Remove from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
