Ingredients
  • 1 cup Basmati rice
  • 2 cup Vegetable broth
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dried herbs (such as thyme, oregano, or parsley)
Instructions
  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
  3. Add the rice to the saucepan and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.
  4. Pour in the vegetable broth and season with salt, black pepper, and dried herbs. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  6. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
