Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup Basmati Rice
  • 2.5 cup Vegetable Stock
  • 1 large Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Parsley
Instructions
  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Add cumin seeds and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until golden brown.
  5. Add the rinsed rice and sauté for 2 minutes.
  6. Pour in the vegetable stock, salt, and black pepper.
  7. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover the saucepan.
  8. Simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  9. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  10. Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with chopped parsley.
  11. Serve hot.
