Ingredients
  • 1 cup Basmati rice
  • 2 cup Vegetable broth
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Parsley
Instructions
  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic cloves. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
  3. Add the turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
  4. Add the rinsed rice to the saucepan and stir to coat the rice with the spices.
  5. Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  6. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
