Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 3 clove Garlic
  • 1 medium Carrot
  • 2 stalk Celery
  • 1 medium Bell Pepper
  • 1 cup Mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 1 can Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 4 tablespoon Parmesan Cheese
  • 8 leaves Fresh Basil
  • 400 grams Pasta
Instructions
  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  2. Add the carrot, celery, bell pepper, and mushrooms. Cook for 5 minutes, until vegetables are tender.
  3. Stir in the tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 30 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to package instructions.
  5. Serve the ragu sauce over the cooked pasta. Top with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
