  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 3 clove Garlic
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 28 ounces Canned Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 8 leaves Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 4 tablespoon Parmesan Cheese
  • 16 ounces Cooked Spaghetti
Instructions
  1. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  2. Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add the crushed tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the fresh basil leaves.
  5. Serve the sauce over cooked spaghetti and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
