Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 small Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 2 medium Tomato
  • 1 medium Red Bell Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Powder
  • 2 leaf Bay Leaf
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 cup White Wine
  • 1 cup Water
Instructions
  1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onions and minced garlic. Sauté until onion becomes translucent.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, red bell pepper, paprika powder, bay leaf, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Pour in white wine and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Remove bay leaves and transfer the mixture to a blender. Blend until smooth.
  6. Return the sauce to the saucepan and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  7. Serve the Portuguese savory sauce as a dip, spread, or sauce with your favorite dishes.
