Ingredients
  • 2 cup Basmati Rice
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 sliced Green Chili
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 cup Green Peas
Instructions
  1. Wash the rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 30 minutes. Drain the water.
  2. Heat oil in a saucepan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  3. Add finely chopped onions, sliced green chilies, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Saute until the onions turn golden brown.
  4. Add salt, turmeric powder, and green peas. Stir well.
  5. Add the soaked and drained rice to the pan and mix gently.
  6. Add water and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover the pan, and let it cook for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked.
  7. Once cooked, let it rest for 10 minutes.
  8. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
