Ingredients
  • 400 gram Tofu
  • 200 gram Ground pork
  • 2 teaspoon Sichuan peppercorns
  • 2 tablespoon Doubanjiang (fermented broad bean paste)
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 2 stalk Scallions
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
  1. Cut the tofu into cubes and set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or pan over medium heat.
  3. Add Sichuan peppercorns, garlic, ginger, and scallions. Stir-fry for a minute.
  4. Add ground pork and cook until browned.
  5. Add Doubanjiang and stir-fry for another minute.
  6. Add tofu cubes and gently stir to coat with the sauce.
  7. In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch with water to make a slurry.
  8. Pour the slurry into the wok and stir gently to thicken the sauce.
  9. Season with soy sauce and salt.
  10. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  11. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  12. Serve hot with steamed rice.
