Ingredients
  • 1 cup Mung beans
  • 1 cup Rice flour
  • 1 cup Gram flour
  • 2 piece Green chili
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Water
  • as needed for frying Oil
Instructions
  1. Soak mung beans overnight and grind them into a coarse paste.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine mung bean paste, rice flour, gram flour, finely chopped green chilies, grated ginger, asafoetida, cumin seeds, salt, and water. Mix well to form a thick batter.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan for frying.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
