Ingredients
  • 2 cup Dried pinto beans
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 4 clove Garlic cloves
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Molasses
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Liquid smoke
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 4 cup Water
Instructions
  1. Rinse the dried pinto beans and soak them overnight.
  2. Drain and rinse the soaked beans.
  3. In a large pot, add the soaked beans, onion, and garlic cloves.
  4. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour or until beans are tender.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Drain the cooked beans and return them to the pot.
  7. Add the prepared sauce mixture to the beans and stir well.
  8. Simmer for another 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  9. Let the beans rest for 10 minutes before serving.
  10. Serve hot as a side dish.
