Ingredients
  • 8 ounce Meatless Italian Sausage
  • 2 cup Bell Peppers
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh Basil
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh Parsley
  • 2 tablespoon Grated Parmesan Cheese (optional)
Instructions
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the meatless Italian sausage, onion, and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes, breaking up the sausage into crumbles.
  3. Add the bell peppers, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for another 5 minutes, until the peppers start to soften.
  4. Stir in the tomato sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil, parsley, and grated Parmesan cheese (optional).
