Ingredients
  • 14 ounce Firm Tofu
  • 2 teaspoon Chinese Black Beans
  • 1 teaspoon Sichuan Peppercorns
  • 8 ounce Ground Pork
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 2 tablespoon Doubanjiang (Chili Bean Paste)
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 2 stalk Green Onions
  • 2 tablespoon Cooking Oil
Instructions
  1. Cut the tofu into small cubes and set aside.
  2. Rinse the Chinese black beans and soak them in water for 5 minutes.
  3. Crush the Sichuan peppercorns.
  4. Heat the cooking oil in a wok or pan over medium heat.
  5. Add the ground pork and cook until browned.
  6. Add the garlic, ginger, and crushed Sichuan peppercorns. Stir-fry for 1 minute.
  7. Add the Chinese black beans and stir-fry for another minute.
  8. Stir in the Doubanjiang (Chili Bean Paste) and soy sauce.
  9. Add the tofu cubes and gently mix everything together.
  10. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with water to make a slurry.
  11. Pour the slurry into the wok and stir gently until the sauce thickens.
  12. Garnish with chopped green onions.
  13. Serve hot with steamed rice.
