Ingredients
  • 1 cup Red lentils
  • 1 cup Corn kernels
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1 medium Tomato
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh cilantro
Instructions
  1. Rinse the lentils and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a large pot and sauté the onions, garlic, and ginger until fragrant.
  3. Add the tomatoes and cook until they soften.
  4. Add the spices and cook for another minute.
  5. Add the lentils, corn, and water to the pot.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes until the lentils are cooked.
  7. Season with salt and adjust spices to taste.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
