Ingredients
  • 1 cup Rice
  • 1 cup Lentils
  • 1 cup Pasta
  • 1 large Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 4 cup Water
Instructions
  1. Rinse the rice, lentils, and pasta separately.
  2. In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until golden brown.
  4. Add the tomato sauce, cumin, coriander, chili powder, and salt. Cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add the rice, lentils, pasta, and water to the pot. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce the heat, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice, lentils, and pasta are cooked.
  7. Remove from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  8. Fluff the koushry with a fork and serve hot.
