Ingredients
  • 2 pepper Jalapeno peppers
  • 1 cup Mixed nuts
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Slice the jalapeno peppers into thin rounds.
  4. In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, butter, and salt. Cook over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture starts to boil.
  5. Add the sliced jalapenos and mixed nuts to the saucepan. Stir to coat evenly.
  6. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  7. Remove from heat and quickly stir in the baking soda.
  8. Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it out evenly.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the brittle is golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
  11. Break into pieces and serve.
