Granola was originally invented as a health food by Dr. James Caleb Jackson in the 19th century and was called 'granula'. It was later popularized by John Harvey Kellogg, who created a similar cereal called 'granola'.

Ingredients
  • 2 cup Rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup Almonds
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts
  • 1/4 cup Pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup Sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup Coconut flakes
  • 2 tablespoon Honey
  • 2 tablespoon Coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Dried fruits (e.g. raisins, cranberries)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and coconut flakes.
  3. In a small saucepan, heat the honey, coconut oil, vanilla extract, and cinnamon over low heat until melted and well combined.
  4. Pour the honey mixture over the dry ingredients and mix well to coat.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely on the baking sheet.
  8. Once cooled, add the dried fruits and mix well.
  9. Store in an airtight container.
  10. Serve with milk or yogurt as a breakfast cereal or enjoy as a snack.
