Ingredients
  • 250 gram Chestnuts
  • 150 gram Sugar
  • 250 milliliter Water
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 pinch Salt
Instructions
  1. Make a small incision on each chestnut.
  2. Boil the chestnuts in water for 20 minutes.
  3. Drain and peel the chestnuts while they are still warm.
  4. In a saucepan, combine the peeled chestnuts, sugar, water, vanilla extract, and salt.
  5. Cook over medium heat until the chestnuts are soft and the liquid has reduced.
  6. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  8. Allow the chestnut paste to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
