Bring a pot of water to a boil and blanch the green beans for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Add the blanched green beans to the skillet and season with salt and black pepper. Cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat and sprinkle sunflower seeds over the green beans.
