Ingredients
  • 1 cup Rolled oats
  • 1 cup Milk (or plant-based milk)
  • 1 medium Apple
  • 2 tablespoon Honey (or maple syrup)
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon Golden raisins
  • 2 tablespoon Chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, combine rolled oats and milk.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Meanwhile, core and chop the apple into small pieces.
  4. After 5 minutes, add the chopped apple, honey (or maple syrup), cinnamon, and golden raisins to the oatmeal.
  5. Continue to cook for another 5 minutes, or until the apple is tender.
  6. Remove from heat and let it rest for a minute.
  7. Serve hot, topped with chopped nuts if desired.
