Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 28 ounces Canned Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 8 leaves Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 16 ounces Cooked Pasta
  • 4 tablespoon Grated Parmesan Cheese
Instructions
  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  2. Add the tomato paste and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and sugar.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add the fresh basil leaves and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Serve the marinara sauce over cooked pasta, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
