Ingredients
  • 2 cup Basmati rice
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1 piece Cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 cup Raisins
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 cup Water
Instructions
  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a large pot, add the rice, turmeric, cinnamon stick, raisins, butter, salt, and water.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and cover the pot.
  4. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the liquid has been absorbed.
  5. Remove the pot from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  6. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
