Ingredients
  • 2 can Tomatoes
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
  1. Chop the onion and mince the garlic cloves.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
  3. Transfer the sautéed onion and garlic to a crock pot.
  4. Add the canned tomatoes, salt, sugar, dried basil, dried oregano, and crushed red pepper flakes to the crock pot.
  5. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  6. Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 4 hours.
  7. After 4 hours, use an immersion blender to puree the sauce until smooth.
  8. Continue cooking the sauce on low heat for another 2 hours.
  9. Serve the fresh crock pot tomato sauce over pasta or use it as a base for other Italian dishes.
