Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Applesauce
  • 1 cup Unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Agave syrup
  • 0.5 cup Dark chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the applesauce, almond milk, vanilla extract, and agave syrup.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  5. Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch round cake pan.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  9. Transfer the cake to a wire rack and let it cool completely.
