Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup Melted butter or vegetable oil
  • 1 cup Milk or non-dairy milk
  • 1 unit Egg or flaxseed meal mixed with water
  • 1/2 cup Optional mix-ins (chocolate chips, nuts, dried fruits)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter or oil, milk, and egg or flaxseed mixture.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in any optional mix-ins.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Slice and serve.
