Ingredients
  • 2 cup Black beans
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 medium Green bell pepper
  • 4 clove Garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1 leaf Bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 4 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoon Lime juice
  • 2 tablespoon Cilantro
Instructions
  1. Rinse and drain the black beans.
  2. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add onion, green bell pepper, and garlic cloves. Sauté until softened.
  4. Add cumin, oregano, bay leaf, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
  5. Add black beans and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  6. Stir in lime juice and cilantro.
  7. Remove bay leaf before serving.
  8. Serve hot with rice or as a side dish.
