Ingredients
  • 1 cup Black lentils
  • 1/2 cup Red kidney beans
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 medium Tomato
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic
  • 1 chopped Green chili
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh cream
  • for garnish chopped Cilantro
Instructions
  1. Soak black lentils and red kidney beans overnight.
  2. Pressure cook the soaked lentils and beans with water, salt, and turmeric powder for about 20 minutes.
  3. In a separate pan, heat butter and sauté onions, ginger, garlic, and green chili until golden brown.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
  5. Add garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Add the cooked lentils and beans to the pan and simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Stir in fresh cream and cook for another 5 minutes.
  8. Garnish with chopped cilantro.
  9. Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
