Ingredients
  • 1 can Black beans
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic cloves
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 4 piece Hamburger buns
  • 4 leaf Lettuce
  • 1 sliced Tomato
  • 1 sliced Avocado
Instructions
  1. Drain and rinse the black beans.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork or potato masher.
  3. Finely chop the onion and garlic cloves.
  4. Add the chopped onion, garlic cloves, breadcrumbs, egg, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to the bowl with the mashed black beans.
  5. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined.
  6. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
  7. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  8. Cook the black bean patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and crispy.
  9. Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes.
  10. Toast the hamburger buns in a toaster or on a grill.
  11. Assemble the burgers by placing a black bean patty on each bun.
  12. Top with lettuce, tomato, and avocado slices.
  13. Serve the delicious black bean burgers and enjoy!
