Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup Basmati Rice
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 pinch Saffron Threads
  • 2 cup Vegetable Stock
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
Instructions
  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and sauté for 1 minute.
  3. Add the rice and saffron threads to the saucepan and stir well to coat the rice with the butter and spices.
  4. Pour in the vegetable stock and add salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  5. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
