Ingredients
  • 2 cup Tomato sauce
  • 1 can Crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 6 leaves Fresh basil leaves
Instructions
  1. In a crockpot, combine tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, sugar, and olive oil.
  2. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  3. Cover the crockpot and cook on low heat for 6 hours.
  4. After 6 hours, stir the sauce and taste for seasoning adjustments.
  5. If desired, add fresh basil leaves and stir to incorporate.
  6. Cook for an additional 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. Serve the marinara sauce over pasta or use it as a base for other Italian dishes.
