Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cup Unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Non-dairy milk
  • 0.5 cup Chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the sugar, vegetable oil, applesauce, vanilla extract, and non-dairy milk. Mix well.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Once cooled, slice and serve.
