Ingredients
  • 2 cup Chickpeas
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 medium Tomatoes
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 piece Green chili
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Amchur powder (Dry mango powder)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves
Instructions
  1. Soak the chickpeas overnight and boil them until tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add ginger, garlic, and green chili and cook for a minute.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
  5. Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Add boiled chickpeas and water. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
  7. Add garam masala and amchur powder. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  9. Serve hot with roti or rice.
