Ingredients
  • 300 gram Carrots
  • 100 gram Chickpea Flour
  • 1 gram Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 2 piece Green Chilies
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 200 gram Sauerkraut
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato Puree
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh Coriander Leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
Instructions
  1. Grate the carrots and squeeze out any excess moisture.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the grated carrots, chickpea flour, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, finely chopped green chilies, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to form a dough-like mixture.
  3. Divide the mixture into small portions and shape them into round koftas.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and fry the koftas until golden brown and crispy.
  5. In a separate pan, heat oil and add sauerkraut. Cook for a minute and then add tomato puree, water, and salt. Mix well and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Add the fried koftas to the sauerkraut sauce and let it cook for another 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and lemon juice.
  8. Serve hot as an appetizer or with rice or bread.
