Ingredients
  • 2 pound Yams
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 4 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Pecans
  • 0.5 cup Mini Marshmallows
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and slice the yams into 1/2-inch thick rounds.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  4. Add the yams to the saucepan and toss to coat them evenly with the sugar mixture.
  5. Transfer the yams to a baking dish and cover with foil.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes, then remove the foil and sprinkle the pecans and mini marshmallows over the yams.
  7. Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
