Ingredients
  • 1 cup Brown rice
  • 1 cup Lentils
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic cloves
  • 1 medium Carrot
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
Instructions
  1. Cook the brown rice and lentils according to their package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated carrot. Cook until the vegetables are softened.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked brown rice, lentils, sautéed vegetables, ground cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and breadcrumbs. Mix well.
  4. Shape the mixture into burger patties.
  5. In the same pan, heat the remaining olive oil over medium heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  6. Serve the brown rice and lentil burgers on buns with your favorite toppings and condiments.
