Ingredients
  • 2 cup Navy beans
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 cup Molasses
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Mustard
  • 0.5 pound Salt pork
  • 4 cup Water
Instructions
  1. Soak beans overnight. Preheat oven to 300°F. Drain beans and place in a large pot. Add water and bring to a boil. In a separate pan, cook salt pork until browned. Remove and set aside. In the same pan, sauté onions until translucent. Add onions, molasses, brown sugar, mustard, and salt pork to the pot with beans. Stir well. Cover the pot and bake in the preheated oven for 4 hours. Remove cover and bake for an additional 30 minutes. Let the beans rest for 30 minutes before serving.
