Ingredients
  • 2 cup Basmati Rice
  • 1 cup Mixed Vegetables (carrots, peas, bell peppers)
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 4 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh Coriander Leaves
Instructions
  1. Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add mixed vegetables and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Stir well.
  5. Add rinsed basmati rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
  6. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot.
